Blazers celebrate tournament success in Peterborough. The kids had a good weekend in Peterborough. With wins against the Stirling Blues (3 - 2), Percy Bulldogs (1 - 0) and Rice Lake Ravens (9 - 2), the Blazers earned a spot in the semi-finals.
The semis were the third game of the day and it proved a little too much for the Blazers and their opponent, the Woodville Hurricanes as both teams looked tired. Woodville scored the only goal of the game early in the third and squeaked past the Blazers to move onto the Championship game.
The tournament featured a number of firsts for the Blazers. Their first tournament win, their first three game winning streak, their first shut-out (#28 Alex McDougall) and their first game in which every skater recorded at least one point (9 - 2 win over Rice Lake).
An exciting weekend for the boys and parents. WELL DONE BLAZERS!

Despite coming up against some large competition in Rice Lake, the boys pulled off an impressive 9 - 2 win to move onto the playoffs in the Peterborough Liftlock Tournament.
This and other photos from the Bell Capital Cup and the Peterborough Liftlock Tournament have been added to the photo section of this website. There are some good ones, so wander on over and have a peek!
