Over the course of the next few days. We will be moving all the info over to a new website. The provider I use is raising prices and I'm not paying for it nor am I expecting the team to. So we are switching over to Teamsnap. So please be ready for invites to create an account on there. It's a free site AND it has a phone app which will be mighty helpful as well as a mass email sender so if Jen or I need to send you something we can using the site.
Sorry for all the trouble folks.

Welcome to Novice Falcons

Welcome, all to the Novice Falcons homepage. As I do with all my teams, I maintain a website for easy access to all the teams I coach. It's easier to keep tabs on the schedules throughout the year as using the iCal link you can easily upload the schedules to one's phone or to a general calendar to keep tabs on everything. I will be updating the homepage whenever there is a change to anything or an announcement to get out so please be aware of that. Also, the website will send auto-reminders 3 days in advance to notify parents when an ice time is approaching. This email also serves another purpose. Parents can notify me when their kid is coming or not. So, parents, I will need you to make sure you click through to let me know. You can also leave a note to signify if there is a reason you cannot attend. Gives me plenty of notice to make call-up's if the team needs it. Lastly, the website also keeps track of stats. It will allow me to enter them in after every game. I also do a little post-game analysis like they would do for the Leafs about what happened in the game.
Anyway I wish everyone luck in the tryouts. I will be emailing parents individually about who has made the team along with an account activation for the website so you can access it as once the tryouts are complete this website will be locked to the general public once that is completed.
Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Penalty Riddled Game End with Falcons Win
Posted by: Scott Gordon on Tue Mar 01st 2016 11:32am
The Falcons coming off a 3-3 tie with Peterborough looked to get back into the win column with Josh getting the call between the pipes.
The first period saw the Falcons strike first with what looked like a harmless shot from Jacob from the top of the circle found its way past the Hawks goalie and gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Josh made 4 stops for the period.
The second period the game started to take off with the Hawks getting on the board early with a rebound play finding its way past Josh making the game 1-1. However that didn't last long with the Falcons finding the back of the net twice that period with another goal from Jacob and a tap in from Ron making the game 3-1 heading into the 3rd.
The Falcons were able to put the game away with a late period goal from Matt taking a nice shot from the point finding the top corner of the net and making the game 4-1. The period however was diluted with penalty after penalty being called even forcing the Falcons down to a 4-3 at one point however a stellar penalty kill ended any hopes of the Hawks coming back. Josh was solid in net making another 8 stops for the win.
10 PIM as Matt still holds the Goon Leader of the Year so far
21 shots for the night
18 saves for Josh for the night.
