11:00 Championship game

MVP's for all games will be chosen by their own team coaches.

Rules:

* Nova Scotia Minor Hockey rules will be followed where tournament rules do not apply or exist. No protests will be entertained.
* Each team is required to enter an official Hockey Nova Scotia Players List. This is to be submitted prior to the start of the tournament. This is considered your Official Roster. No other players can be added to the list after it has been submitted. There will NO exceptions.

* All teams are asked to be ready to play up to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled game time in the event that games are running ahead of schedule.
* The Manager and Coaches of each team shall be responsible for their team on the ice, in the dressing room and in the arena.
* Any player, coach, or team official receiving a major penalty (5 minute penalty) will be suspended for the remainder of that game and the next scheduled game. This will be dealt with in accordance through NSMHC Code of Discipline.
* Swearing or abusive language in the arena or on the ice shall be dealt with first by the coach of his/her team and then the tournament committee if the behavior continues.
* Referee decisions will be final
* All round robin games must be honoured.

Round robin games
* Each game will be three, 12-minute, stop time periods
* A four minute warm up will be permitted.
* If at any time in the 3rd period there is a 5 goal differential, the time clock will go to straight time for the remainder of the game.
* The ice will be cleaned after each game.
* There will be a one minute time out between the second and third periods.
* Ties stand with 2 points awarded for each game such that: win=2 points, loss=0 points, tie=1 point


Tie Breaking Format to Determine 1st and 2nd place
* If 2 teams are tied in points after round robin play, the team who won the head to head will place higher. If the head to head game resulted in a tie, and there was no winner, proceed to steps 1 – 5, listed below in the tie breaking format.
* If 3 or more teams are tied in points after round robin play:
1. The team with the highest +/- will place higher. Maximum +/- recorded for each game is 7.
2. If still tied, the team with the fewest goals against will place higher.
3. If still tied, the team with the most goals for will place higher.
4. If still tied, the team with fewest penalty minutes will place higher.
5. If still tied, the team that scored the earliest goal in any game will place higher.

Championship Game
* will be played by the 1st and 2nd place teams after the round robin
* will be three (3) 15-minute stop time periods
* A five minute warm up will be permitted.
* The ice will be cleaned after the second period.
* In the medal game, both teams are allowed one, 30-second timeout each, not to be taken at the same stoppage of play.
* A winner must be declared.

Tie Breaking in the Championship Game
* Overtime will be sudden death, four on four, 10-minute periods with stop time, until a winner is declared.
* A 30 second time out will be permitted between overtime periods.

Dylan Leblanc Memorial Tournament Rules
* Nova Scotia Minor Hockey rules will be followed where tournament rules do not apply or exist. No protests will be entertained.

* No game delays because of late arrivals, bad weather, or not enough players. Any defaulting team will be assessed a game loss with a 5 goals against penalty.
* All teams are to be ready to play up to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled game time in the event that games are running ahead of schedule.
* The Manager and Coach of each team shall be responsible for their team on the ice, in the dressing room and in the arena. NO team will be left unattended in dressing rooms at any time.
* Any player, coach, or team official receiving a major penalty (5 minute penalty) will be suspended for the remainder of that game and the next scheduled game. This will be dealt with in accordance through NSMHC Code of Discipline.
* Any player receiving more than 3 penalties (i.e. 6 minutes) in any one game will be removed from the ice for the remainder of that game upon receiving a fourth penalty.
* Swearing or abusive language in the arena or on the ice shall be dealt with first by the coach of his/her team and then tournament committee.
* Referee decisions will be final due to schedule.
* Any coach/manager who, in the opinion of the committee, displays poor sportsmanship or a bad example shall be suspended from the tournament.
* All round robin games must be honoured.

* Standing for round robin play will be as follows:
* 2 points for a win;
* 1 point for a tie;
* 0 point for a loss.

Round robin games will be three (3) 12-minute stop time periods:
* A five minute warm up will be permitted.
* At any time in the 3rd period there is a 5 goal differential, the time clock will go to straight time for the remainder of the game.
* The ice will be cleaned after each game.
* NO timeouts will be permitted during round robin play.

Rules
1. All games will consist of 2 - 22 minute non-stop periods with a flood after each game

2. There will be a 5 minute warm up before each game.

3. A winner must be determined for each game. If two teams are tied after regulation play there will be a 3 man shoot out.
If still tied then a sudden death shoot out using different players. This will only be used in round robin play. In the
Championship Game 22 minute non-stop sudden death periods playing 4 skaters aside will be used till a winner is declared.

4. Top 2 teams from Round Robin play advances to the Championship Game.

5. If 2 teams are tied the winner of the game between them will be awarded the higher seeding.

6. If 3 teams are tied in points, the higher seeding will be determined by the ratio of goals for to goals against. (goals for divided by goals against)
only using the games played by each other. If still tied use all games played.


7. All other HNS rules will be used during tournament play.

** There will be an MVP, a most sportsman, and a spirit award presented to players on each team after each game , and we
will have the hospitality room set up for both days**
