Stripers Hot as Summer Season Ends

The Harbor City Hockey Club finished up their 16 game regular summer season last night at Ice World in Abingdon.
Luke Schindler (#74) is the only player on the team to make all 16 Summer season games. Luke gets the Cal Ripken Jr. IRONMAN award for consistency this Summer. Way to go Luke! When asked about his dedication to the club, Luke said "Hey man, I just do what I do. It beats working and school, and I never go on vacation, so I just show up ALL THE TIME to play!"
Ryan Collins (#9) scored the 600th goal in club history! After that history-making puck hit the back of the net, Ryan just smiled, but said nothing noteworthy (That's how he rolls... He just plays hockey, and scores goals).
The green machine is getting hot this summer, and hopefully the momentum will carry through to the play-offs.
Toilet Tankers Crap Their Pants at Center Ice

In what has become the new hot "Lower C" rivalry at Iceworld, the second place Harbor City Stripers shut down the Upper Deckers 5-0, despite less than stellar officiating at the rink.
"It was great to watch them melt-down in front of all their own fans," said Mike Krasher, after the game. "We used to lose like that all the time."
There will most likely be a re-match of the hard-fought contest that took place yesterday in Abingdon at 1:30pm. The "Lower C league" summer finals are just around the corner and things are heating up.
Keep your fingers crossed, and your green jerseys on, because the Fish (led by superb goal tender Rick Andesik) are on a roll.
JUST A THOUGHT:
Maybe the other team should just focus more on actually playing ice hockey and stop worrying about coming up with funny poop-based names for the backs of their jerseys?!? ...just sayin'
Crabs Shut Out by Fish

Great game last night at Iceworld.
The Stripers crushed the Crabs and shut them down AGAIN, 7-0.
Rick played great in the net, stopping all the rubber they threw his way, and everyone else worked really well together to keep those crabs trapped!
Capt Bart failed to get the penalty summary photo after the game! Therefore, the penalty stats are incomplete at this time. If anyone can get the penalty info, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org and it will get updated.

Mike Karrasch (Krasher) busted his pinky on his right hand.
...and yes, it's way more serious than we originally thought.
...and yes, that's his real X-RAY!
He's now on the injured reserve list, and we don't know when he'll be back! Get well soon Krasher!
In other news, the Fish "stung" the Stingers (Hornets2) last night at IceWorld (5-2)! Ryan Collins had his first Stripers hat trick, and everybody played really REALLY well (considering the light bench). Way to go Ryan!
roll fish roll.
