ST. PAUL, Minn. - Under odd game conditions, Team America (0-13-0-0, 7th place) was throttled by Summit (8-3-0-1, t-1st place), 11-1, Wednesday night in St. Paul.
There were some questions on whether or not the game would even count due to a miscommunicaton between the league and the rink about ice ownership, resulting in the game being shortened to a 17-minute first period and 30-minute running time second period.
Regardless, despite a close game last time out vs. Summit, Team America didn't come anywhere close in this one. Summit rattled off 11-straight goals to start the game before TA defenseman Mike Downs broke the shutout in the final minutes with his first goal of the season.

The Warriors jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. They never trailed in the game and out shot Team America, 47-32. Forward Tom Miskavige scored Team America's only other goal, reclaiming the team points lead in the process.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. - Team America (0-11-0-0, 7th place) played arguably its best game of the season, tying a season-high with six goals, but it wasn't enough to overcome Summit (6-3-0-1, t-2nd place) in a 9-6 loss Monday night.
Team America had high hopes for its first result of the season after tying the game at six halfway through the third period, but Summit was awarded a penalty shot moments after that, which shifted the momentum for good. Summit converted the opportunity and never looked back, tacking on a couple more goals after that to seal the win.
Goaltender Josh Harein came up with numerous big saves in the game to keep T.A. in the game, turning away 50 shots on the night. Forward Paul Lynch chipped in two goals to lead the offense.

NEW HOPE, Minn. - Despite being comically shorthanded, Team America (0-10-0-0, 7th place) played the first place Farmers (7-2-1-0, 1st place) close before tired legs did them in in the third period in an 11-4 loss.
Playing with just six guys, Team America did well to stay with the Farmers for most of the game. The game was tied at two in the second period and TA had multiple chances to go ahead, including a disallowed goal. It was a 4-2 game heading into the third before the Farmers pulled away in the final frame.
"I was incredibly impressed at the effort tonight," forward Jamie Jackish said. "Don't let the box score fool you this was a very close game until the third period."
Captain Justin Schwechter continued his torrid play with a hat trick and an assist in the loss and now leads the team in goals (7) and is tied for the team points lead (12). Forward/defenseman Paul Lynch chipped in three points (1+2) as well.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A strong finish wasn't enough to overcome a slow start for a shorthanded Team America (0-9-0-0) vs. the Grizzlies (5-3-0-1) Saturday night. T.A. found itself in an early 5-0 hole from which it was unable to recover and eventually fell, 10-3.
Team America played the game with just eight skaters, yet got stronger as the game went on, scoring twice in the third period. Defenseman John McElhenny and forward Ryan Evans each netted their first goals of the season, while captain Justin Schwechter stayed hot with a goal and now has three goals and four points in his last two games.
